Montreal Reiki Master Talks About Her Healing Practice

While chatting with Michele, I found out that she started with a financial consulting background.  The Curious George in me immediately picked up that information which led me to be intrigued even further about Michele’s Montreal Reiki practice.  Maybe I’d ask her about her financial career another time. But for now, I wanted to learn more about what led her to practise Reiki.

I was really fascinated to hear about what got Michele into practising Reiki. I would think her financial career would have been more exciting and lucrative.  But I totally get it when anyone says their passions were way stronger than their lucrative careers.

Reiki is spiritual, not religious

Reiki is definitely becoming very popular as a form of alternative healing, but I thought there would have been challenges for Michele when she started. Sure enough, there was a really fundamental one – people’s understanding of what Reiki really is.

Michele: One of the challenges (and the exciting part!) was ensuring that I communicate properly to people of varied cultures.  Energy work is becoming more mainstream but some people view it as religious.  Reiki is spiritual but not religious.  It is compatible with any religious belief.

When you have challenges, you would definitely need to overcome them. So, this is what Michele did:

Michele: I just kept going on, explaining and understanding how others see this form of alternative healing.  It has been a blessing to learn from others as well.

Michele had a dream and she had her family support her through it. Isn’t it amazing when that happens to you?  I think it’s important for all us to support our loved ones that have dreams and want to rise up to accomplish them.  I loved what Michele said about her family!

Michele: Fortunately, my husband and daughter have also studied Reiki and love it. They believe in me and my dream of living in a world where all humans are aware of their innate ability to heal.  I learned that it is not important to do everything well; just do what is essential well.

Montreal Reiki Master believes in boldness and authenticity

Everyone I ask about their fears and challenges serve to inspire me and I hope it does the same for you.  It’s really empowering to learn from others. Everyone has their own mantra to overcome their challenges and obstacles that stood between them and their dreams.

Michele: Think bold and dare to show the real you to the world!!

I asked Michele about her future plans for her Reiki practice and I was really touched to hear about her real interest in helping the underprivileged communities.

Michele: I am very interested in teaching Reiki to underprivileged communities.To empower them with the ability to heal themselves and each other.
